Schools are locations where students attend during the day. They are set up in the system as a child element of an LEA (local education agency/school district) and are associated with students and teachers. A school value is required when importing registration data. In order to import adults who do not attend school, an "NA" (not applicable) or "Adult" school can be added to the system.
Adding a School
To define a new School, click Organizations in your left-hand navigation menu.
School are be defined for LEA/School District that they support.
Click the > next to the System Level organization to open the list of established organizations.
Then click the > next to the LEA where the school you want to define the resides. In the example below, this Institution/District Group is "Central Region." This will show a list of institutions/Districts in that group.
Click the ... to the right of the desired Institution/District (in this example, Hillandale Public Schools After School Program) and select Add Funder from the menu that appears.
Fill out the information requested on the School form. Any field marked with a red asterisk is required. The form can only be submitted once all required information is complete.
When done, click Save School.
Editing a School
To edit a School, search for the School in the Organizations List by typing part of the School's name. Then, click the pencil icon to edit the School's information.
Tip: To find all Schools, type the word "School" into the search filter.
Make any needed edits on the form that opens. When you are done, click Save School.
Removing a School
To remove a School, search for it in the Organization List. To the right of the School's name, click the pencil icon. Then, click the red Remove School trash can icon at the bottom.
If a School has data associated with it, such as being associated with a student, the Remove School trash can icon will be gray, indicating the School cannot be deleted.
Click Yes, Delete to confirm the removal of the School from the system.
